My Research Activities

My research focuses on the development and optimisation of innovative construction materials with a strong emphasis on sustainability and performance enhancement. I am actively involved in the following areas:

  1. Rheology of Cement and Alkali-Activated Materials: I conduct experimental and analytical investigations to understand the flow behaviour of cementitious and alkali-activated materials, aiming to optimise the workability and performance of fresh concrete.

  2. Concrete Durability and Microstructural Analysis: I explore the long-term durability properties of traditional and alternative concrete materials, focusing on factors like resistance to chemical attacks. Through microstructural analysis using advanced techniques (SEM, XRD, etc.), I examine the internal structure and composition of these materials to enhance their durability and service life.

  3. Sustainability and CO2 Reduction: Assessing the potential for using industrial by-products to reduce CO2 emissions and enhance the eco-friendliness of concrete.
