Biography

Naomi is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Kirby Institute, University of New South Wales. She works in the Public Health Interventions Research Group, and her work focuses on the epidemiology and control of neglected tropical diseases, with a particular emphasis on soil-transmitted helminths. Naomi is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Kirby Institute, University of New South Wales. She works in the Public Health Interventions Research Group, and her work focuses on the epidemiology and control of neglected tropical diseases, with a particular emphasis on soil-transmitted helminths. Prior to commencing at the Kirby Institute, Naomi undertook a PhD at the Research School of Population Health at Australian National University, investigating optimal control strategies for soil-transmitted helminth infections. Naomi also has a clinical background and worked as a paediatric and neonatal registrar in both Melbourne and Canberra prior to commencing her PhD.

My Research Activities

I am currently working on a number of field-based research studies that examine the control of neglected tropical diseases, in Vietnam, Timor-Leste and the Solomon Islands. My previous research has included field-based studies as well as large systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
