Dr Oliver Hammond (OH) is the Computational Instrument Scientist for small angle scattering at the European Spallation Source ERIC (ESS), based in Data Management & Scientific Computing (DMSC). He is responsible for coordinating the full data analysis pipelines for LoKI, SKADI, and future SANS instrumentation, alongside his significant research activity in Ionic Liquids and Deep Eutectic Solvents. OH holds an Adjunct Prof. position at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, focused on neutron scattering of soft materials. He is a Visiting Fellow at The University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney, School of Chemistry), and is a core LINXS member leading the Young Researchers’ Initiative on Soft Matter. The research network of OH is closely integrated with teams at KTH, both in Surface & Corrosion Science within the Department for Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health (CBH), and Engineering Design. He holds long-term international collaborations with researchers from UNSW and ANSTO (Australia) and University of Maastricht (Netherlands). OH has worked closely with the Disordered Materials group at ISIS throughout his career, and is involved in Danish ESS lighthouse (fyrtårn) programmes, as well as the new KTH RELAX initiative.
