I am a Senior Lecturer (Health Behaviour Change/Sport Psychology) in the School of Health Sciences at the University of New South Wales. My research examines the influence of sociocultural and gender-related factors on men's health and health-related behaviours. I completed postdoctoral training at the University of British Columbia, and am an academic member of UBC's Men's Health Research Program and the Reducing Male Suicide Research Excellence Cluster. With a strong interest in applied research, I have published over 35 peer-reviewed publications and been influential in the design, delivery, and evaluation of men’s health promotion programs internationally.

I currently lead a SSHRC funded research project exploring men’s social connection and peer support for mental health challenges. Findings from this research will be used to inform the development of an online resource to encourage and support men to engage in peer support and mutual help for mental health challenges.
