Dr Sanaz Hosseinabadi

Dr Sanaz Hosseinabadi is a sessional academic in the School of Architecture and Design, Faculty of Built Environment. She teaches Under-grad and Post-grad students and passionate about educating the young creative minds and help them to reach their highest potential. Her teaching explores the relationships between history of classical architecture and contemporary events in the design world. The main focus is on how to learn from past and create a complete space for human inhabitation (considering mind, body and spirit).  

Sanaz's Industry experience spans from architecture, interior design, construction project management and research in the last 15 years. Working with Ed Lippmann,  MaCphee, Leffler Simes, Morris Bray Architects and Currently ProPlex construction company gave her a wide range of experience across a broad range of project typologies and scales, including individual and multi-scale residential, education and institutional. 

Sanaz’s research focuses on psychology, particularly how the built environment can enhance human’s wellbeing and life experience. Her publications have contributed to international debates surrounding History and Theory of architecture, Art of living, Functionality vs Aesthetic, Modernity in 20^th century and philosophy.
