I'm a Historian and Social Anthropologist of Global Political Economy with a particular interest in Southeast Asia. My research examines changing understandings and measures of poverty and wellbeing amongst economists and social scientists and explores everyday community experiences of rapid economic transformation across the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. At UNSW I'm working on the history of Indonesia's transmigrasi program and questions of labour migration, imperial expansion and development.
