Sharon is the Operations Manager of the Australian and New Zealand Neonatal Network (ANZNN), a clinical quality registry and collaboration of every neonatal intensive care unit in the two countries. Sharon is the Operations Manager of the Australian and New Zealand Neonatal Network (ANZNN), a clinical quality registry and collaboration of every neonatal intensive care unit in the two countries. The ANZNN sits with the National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit (NPESU), a joint unit of the Centre for Big Data Research in Health (CBDRH) and School of Women’s and Children’s Health, Faculty of Medicine, UNSW Sydney. Sharon has nearly 20 years’ experience in perinatal and paediatric research.
In her role she is responsible for overseeing and managing the activities of the ANZNN, including using registry data to benchmark and feedback to the participating units to facilitate improvement in the care of high-risk newborns.
