I am a Lecturer in Biostatistics, and my teaching and research span the environmental and health sciences. I hold a PhD in Population Genetics from the University of Melbourne. In my work I bring rigorous quantitative methods and reproducible research practice to complex questions across the environmental and health sciences.

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and hold a Graduate Certificate in University Teaching. My teaching is evidence-based and student-centred. My scholarship focuses on AI innovation in higher education and on designing secure, authentic assessment. I design courses that build students’ AI skills and strengthen their AI literacy, so they can use AI tools critically, ethically and effectively in their disciplines. I also explore how generative AI can strengthen learning while protecting academic integrity, and I lead curriculum and assessment reform that prepares graduates to use data and AI with confidence and good judgement.
