Tim Rhodes is SHARP Professor of Public Health Sociology. Drawing on critical social science methods, he leads a programme of work investigating the social relations and evidence-making of health and care practices, especially linked to hepatitis C, HIV, drug use and addictions. He is currently using qualitative research methods to study the science and intervention of hepatitis C and disease elimination, including in collaboration with global mathematical modellers and implementation scientists. He is also running qualitative research on the social dynamics of drug user health in Myanmar and Colombia. He also holds an appointment as Professor of Public Health Sociology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK).
