My Expertise

Cellular biology and immunopathology of respiratory disease, especially asthma. Particular areas of interest include the influence of early-life infections and environmental injury in the pathogenesis of childhood asthma; the role of cytokines/growth factors in the development of inflammation, remodelling and airway hyper-reactivity in chronic asthma and acute exacerbations; and mechanisms of regulation of the inflammatory response in asthma.
