Dr Shukla Poddar

Shukla is a post-doc in the School of Photovoltaics and Renewable Energy Engineering, UNSW. She is working on an ARENA project of advanced O&M modelling. Her research focuses on understanding the implications of extreme weather events on energy generation, exploring synergy between wind and solar technology, modelling future PV module degradation rates. She recently completed her PhD from UNSW and ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes. During her PhD she has explored the impacts of impact of climate change on the PV power production. She is also interested in long-term and short-term energy forecasting, ramp event prediction and understanding variability of solar energy resources.
