Ali Amani is a research associate at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). His graduate degree from the University of Tehran and his Undergraduate degree from Isfahan University of Technology, Iran, have laid the foundation for his research. His research contributions are linked to several fields, including Pavement engineering, Concrete Technology, Concrete pavements, and Infrastructure materials. Ali’s strong academic performance is reflected in his publications. He is a dedicated researcher who strongly focuses on low-carbon concrete and other environmentally friendly infrastructure composites. Before beginning the research position at UNSW, he gained several years of experience in the industry, in addition to conducting research activities.


My Research Activities

Ali Amani’s research is centered around developing low-carbon concrete and other environmentally friendly infrastructure composites, and he is keen on understanding their environmental impacts. He also focuses on pavement materials, particularly concrete pavements, to further develop sustainable infrastructure.
Currently, Ali is actively involved in developing environmentally friendly low-carbon concrete alternatives. This project is a testament to his dedication to advancing sustainable infrastructure solutions. The ongoing project focuses on the effects of concrete carbonation on carbon sequestration goals.
