Dr. Sun is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Climate Change Research Centre (CCRC). He got PhD degree in atmospheric sciences from Nanjing University, China. His research interests are in climate dynamics, especially in understanding the teleconnection of ENSO events and extratropical climate. Affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the 21st Century Weather, he will focus on the role and multiscale processes of tropical SST anomalies in affecting Australian weather and climate variability through observation analysis and modeling approaches.
