Dr Zifei Han is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for NanoMedicine (ACN) and an ECA Spinout Fellow at UNSW. He obtained his Scientia PhD in Chemistry from UNSW in 2023, following degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chemical Biology from Peking University. His research focuses on polymer therapeutics, nitric oxide (NO)-catalytic biomaterials and translational biomedical engineering, with interests in responsive sensing materials and application-driven biomaterials design. Alongside his academic research, he leads CooloMeter, an IP-protected pre-spinout program developing polymer-based cold-chain monitoring technology toward commercial translation. His experience spans biomaterials innovation, colorimetric sensor development and early-stage industry engagement.
Research Interests: RAFT polymerisation; Polymer Therapeutics; Nitric Oxide Biomaterials; NO-Catalytic Polymers; Surface Functionalisation; 3D-Printed Biomaterials; Translational Biomedical Engineering; Colorimetric Sensors.
