Tina Funge is an Associate Professor in the School of Built Environment and has more than 20 years’ experience as a front-end construction lawyer, both in top tier private practices and in corporate positions. Tina Funge is an Associate Professor in the School of Built Environment and has more than 20 years’ experience as a front-end construction lawyer, both in top tier private practices and in corporate positions. She has worked as in-house legal counsel at some of Australia’s biggest construction companies where she gained experience in managing legal risks across the whole life cycle of construction and infrastructure projects. Tina has worked on a wide variety of projects across a number of sectors (such as transport, health, education, defence, water, commercial, energy, mining, oil and gas, residential and waste) using various procurement methods. She is an active participant in sharing knowledge amongst her peers, being a regular contributor to the Society of Construction Law Australia, where she has received the Highly Commended Brooking Prize three years in a row. She is currently undertaking a PhD with a focus on infrastructure contracting.
