Biography

Amy Huynh graduated with a Master’s degree in Orthoptics in 2016. She is a dedicated Orthoptist with a keen interest in paediatrics. Amy has extensive experience working within the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, starting as a new graduate Orthoptist at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead for two years, and later serving as a Senior Orthoptist at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. Amy Huynh graduated with a Master’s degree in Orthoptics in 2016. She is a dedicated Orthoptist with a keen interest in paediatrics. Amy has extensive experience working within the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, starting as a new graduate Orthoptist at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead for two years, and later serving as a Senior Orthoptist at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. Currently, she works at a private ophthalmology clinic, where she specializes in screening for general ophthalmology, retinal conditions, glaucoma, oculoplastic, neuro-ophthalmology, and paediatric conditions. Additionally, Amy is a part-time Education-Focused Lecturer at UNSW School of Optometry & Vision Science.

My Teaching

Current interest in teaching the method of paediatric screening and conditions to UNSW optometry final year students so they can build their confidence in screening and managing paediatric conditions by themselves in the workforce.
