Biography

After completing her undergraduate degrees at UNSW (LLB/BSc (Hons)), and the BCL (Dist) and MPhil at Oxford, Brenda was called to the NSW Bar in 2008, where she has developed expertise in professional disciplinary law, administrative law, and commercial law. After completing her undergraduate degrees at UNSW (LLB/BSc (Hons)), and the BCL (Dist) and MPhil at Oxford, Brenda was called to the NSW Bar in 2008, where she has developed expertise in professional disciplinary law, administrative law, and commercial law. She is an academic member of Level 22 Chambers in Sydney. As an Education Focused Senior Lecturer, Brenda teaches Lawyers, Ethics and Justice and a range of other courses, reflecting the breadth of her practice as a barrister. Her teaching experience includes being a teaching fellow at UNSW over a number of years, acting as an advocacy coach in Australia and internationally, and designing and teaching courses for the College of Law LLM program. She has chaired the NSW Bar Association's Gender Equitable Briefing Working Group and acted as a committee and board member for a range of other committees and organisations, with a particular focus on ethics, human rights and diversity and inclusion.
