Felicity Gates is a highly experienced Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) and Registered Orientation and Mobility Specialist (ROMSA), with over 20 years dedicated to the field of low vision and blindness. Her career as a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor and Orientation and Mobility Specialist led her to initiate a research project focused on developing a guide dog harness evaluation tool, igniting her passion for research.

Felicity currently chairs the Professional Standards Committee of the Orientation and Mobility Association of Australasia (OMAA). As an Education Focussed Lecturer at UNSW School of Optometry & Vision Science, she enjoys connecting with people and is committed to both learning and sharing knowledge.
