Moon Lacroix is a curator, writer, researcher and broadcaster. Working with exhibitions, public programming, and radio, they are particularly interested in the intersecting fields of curating and writing, involving performance, sound, speech and publishing.

The politics, poetics and aesthetics of sleeplessness shape Moon’s current curatorial work with projects such as Freedom of Sleep and Radio Insomnia, composed of exhibitions, performances, broadcasts, talks, symposia, including all-night events.

In 2025, Moon completed a practice-based PhD at the University of New South Wales (Sydney). A Curatorial Ear focused on night-time public programming, using sonic curatorial methods with live arts and discourse to shape who has a voice in the art institution and resist the drive for spectacle and consensus in the gallery.

With over ten years of experience, Moon has worked with institutions such as the Palais de Tokyo, the Centre Pompidou, the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, ABC Radio National, Melbourne Festival and Liquid Architecture, an independent organisation focused on sound and listening based in Naarm Melbourne.

Moon regularly contributes to contemporary art criticism, publishing and education; as an editor of Disclaimer Journal (2026, 2021), Flaneur Magazine Issue 09 (2023), and the book 'An Act of Showing: Rethinking artist-run initiatives through place' (co-edited with Maria Miranda, published by Unlikely, 2018) among others.
