Biography

Nagisa Fukui is a Senior Lecture of Japanese studies, in the School of Humanities & Languages. I have developed and taught a wide range of Japanese courses at UNSW, including the largest language course at UNSW. Nagisa Fukui is a Senior Lecture of Japanese studies, in the School of Humanities & Languages. I also supervise Japanese language teaching practicum students who are interested in teaching at tertiary institutions. My research interests are Japanese language education and Japanese discourse analysis by using the systemic functional approach (SFL).  I am in charge of the Japanese Proficiency Test, Sydney NSW site, a committee member of the Japanese Language Speech Contest NSW, and a member  of the Australian Network for Teaching Advanced Japanese of the Japanese Studies Association of Australia.
