Nicole completed her Bachelors of Laws and Bachelor of Science (Psychology) (Hons 1) at the Australian National University in 2016, with 8 years of research experience across a variety of applications in supporting healthy ageing. Key research projects include several high-level evidence synthesis on the risk factors associated with dementia and cognitive decline, psychosocial factors and cognitive ageing such as ageism and attitudes towards ageing, and social interventions for improving health outcomes for older adults. She also has experience in knowledge translation, policy development, and policy and advocacy for issues associated with older adults.

In 2019, Nicole received a Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship and began her PhD at the University of New South Wales and NeuRA. Her PhD project explores the relationship between social engagement and cognitive decline in late life. In addition, she works on an ongoing intergenerational intervention to reduce the risk of frailty, and a project understanding gender inequality in health promotion programs for older adults.
