Dr Yi-Ya Hsu recently complete her degree in the School of Built Environment. Prior to joining UNSW in May 2022, she worked as a Senior Project Specialist in a GIS tech firm and had 2-year full-time research assistant experience in the National Taiwan Normal University on environmental migration and indigenous climate resilience. She has her Bachelor's degree in Geography, majoring in Region and Tourism Planning and Geospatial Information Science. She took out a Masters degree in Urban Planning. Her recent research focuses on volumetric urbanism, compact city, mixed use, spatial modelling, spatiotemporal data analysis, and 3D land use change and urban resilience.
