Professor Nicholas Fisk AM FAHMS FRSN MBBS DDU PhD CMFM MBA GAICD FRCOG FRANZCOG is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Enterprise) at UNSW Sydney, where his portfolio is to optimise research performance, infrastructure and training along with securing external research investment, aligning with industry engagement, and promoting translational innovation, commercialisation and entrepreneurship. His background is as a clinical scientist in fetal medicine with his main research focus on perinatal stem cell biology and monochorionic intertwin transfusion with over 400 publications. 

After training in Australia Nick spent two decades at Imperial College London before leadership roles at the University of Queensland. Nick has had a number of international and national leadership roles and current Board memberships include Research Australia, NewSouth Innovations, TEDi-London, SPHERE (the Sydney Partnership for Health, Education, Research and Enterprise) and Chair of the Go8 DVCR's Committee. Past roles include President of the International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society, Chair of the Steering Committee of the Association of Academic Health Centers International, and Chair of the Go8 Deans of Medicine Committee. He has also served on the Boards of the Queensland Institute of Medical Research, the Metro North Hospital and Health Service, Paediatrio and Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute.
