I am a Research Fellow in Urban Development within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at UNSW Sydney, working in a joint role with Sydney Local Health District.

My work focuses on how urban planning, infrastructure and public policy decisions affect health, equity and wellbeing. I am particularly interested in improving impact assessment and business case methods to better reflect health, sustainability and liveability outcomes.

My research combines quantitative, spatial and mixed-methods approaches, with experience in health impact assessment, business case development, travel behaviour, welfare economics, spatial analytics and data science. Much of my work has been applied and undertaken in collaboration with government and health-sector partners.

Current and recent projects include health impact assessments relating to major urban redevelopment and infrastructure projects, development of methods for assessing the health and equity impacts of infrastructure, and spatial analysis to support public health planning and policy development.

I also teach and develop courses and professional training in areas including health impact assessment, transport planning, geospatial analytics, data science, quantitative methods and visual data analytics.

I am an editorial board member for Oxford Open Infrastructure and Health and the Journal of Cycling and Micromobility Research.
