Mohammed Owais have over 12 years of diverse experience in public health and social science both local and international. Mohammed Owais have over 12 years of diverse experience in public health and social science both local and international. He works as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Black Dog Institute, UNSW Australia, where the focus of his research is to develop interventions addressing social determinants of suicide. His research aims to improve the quality of life and health equity of disadvantaged communities through his work addressing social determinants of health and suicide. He has published numerous research papers and presented the outcome of his studies at national and international conferences. During 2021, he has been on secondment to New South Wales Health COVID-19 Emergency Center.

He is open to supervising PhD, Masters, internship and independent learning program (ILP) students.
