Dr Srikanth Dumpati is a Research Associate in the School of Optometry and Vision Science at UNSW Sydney. He holds a PhD in Optometry and Vision Science from UNSW Sydney, a Master of Optometry, and a Bachelor of Optometry. Dr Srikanth Dumpati is a Research Associate in the School of Optometry and Vision Science at UNSW Sydney. He holds a PhD in Optometry and Vision Science from UNSW Sydney, a Master of Optometry, and a Bachelor of Optometry. He is also a Fellow of the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (FIACLE) and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).

Srikanth is an optometrist, clinician, educator and researcher with extensive experience in contact lens practice, education and ocular surface research. Prior to his doctoral studies, he held clinical and academic roles at the L V Prasad Eye Institute in India and undertook a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellowship at Aston University, UK.

My Research Activities

Srikanth's research focuses on contact lens discomfort, meibomian gland dysfunction, tear-film assessment, Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy, ocular surface microbiology, and lipid-based drug delivery through contact lenses. His broader research interests include specialty contact lenses, ocular surface health, contact lens materials, lipid and nanoparticle delivery systems, and translational approaches to improving contact lens comfort and performance.
