Dr Amy Ji Soo Kwon

BSc(Hons) (Applied Mathematics), PhD

Amy Kwon is a mathematician and a member of the modelling team led by Richard Gray in the Surveillance and Evaluation Research Program. Her research involves the development of mathematical models to understand the epidemiology of HCV and predict the impact and cost-effectiveness of interventions. She has developed and used the methodology to produce HCV estimates and assess the impact of direct-acting antiviral treatment for HCV. She is responsible for providing the key HCV estimates of prevalence and HCV-attributed disease for Australia's Annual Surveillance Report. 

Amy also works with VHEPP to assess needle and syringe distribution coverage in Australia.
