Saber is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT), University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra, Australia. Saber was awarded a PhD degree in Computer Science from the UNSW Canberra, in 2012.
Dr Elsayed’s primary research focus areas include single and multi-objective optimisation, static and dynamic optimisation, large-scale optimisation, project scheduling, swarm guidance and cyber-security using computational intelligence. His research contributions have led to several advantages in many areas, i.e., engineering, business, computer science, defence, mining, cyber security and power systems.
Dr Elsayed was the winner of different competitions organised in top evolutionary computation conferences. From 2019 to 2020, he was serving as the Chair of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (ACT Chapter). He was the Local Organising Co-Chair of the 2020 IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence 2020 (IEEE SSCI), the Program Chair of the 20th Asia-Pacific Symposium on Intelligent and Evolutionary Systems 2016 (Canberra, Australia) and the Registration Co-Chair of the Australasian Conference on Artificial Life and Computational Intelligence (ACALCI 2016). Currently, he is a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Summer School subcommittee.
