Dr Mina Sarofim is an experienced consultant surgeon in Sydney with two subspecialty fellowships: Colorectal Surgery, and Peritonectomy & Surgical Oncology. He graduated medical school at UNSW with Distinction, then completed a Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney.

Dr Sarofim has earned a reputation as a caring and highly skilled surgeon, and is committed to providing excellent outcomes for his patients. His areas of practice includes complex colorectal conditions, minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic and robotic), colorectal cancer treatment, abdominal hernias and advanced endoscopy.

Dr Mina Sarofim is one of Australia’s leading academic surgeons, involved in colorectal surgery research, surgical education and mentoring at the University of Sydney and UNSW. He has authored more than 100 publications in the top national and international scientific journals, including JAMA Surgery, British Journal of Surgery, and International Journal of Surgery. He has also been awarded several prestigious research grants and awards from General Surgeons Australia and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
