Dr Daoyi Dong is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering and Information Technology, University of New South Wales, Canberra, and an IEEE Fellow. Dr Daoyi Dong is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering and Information Technology, University of New South Wales, Canberra, and an IEEE Fellow. He received a B.E. degree and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He had visiting positions at Princeton University, NJ, USA, RIKEN, Wako-Shi, Japan, University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany and The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. He is a recipient of a Humboldt Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany, the inaugural ACA Temasek Young Educator Award from the Asian Control Association, an International Collaboration Award, a Discovery International Award and an Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship from Australian Research Council, and K.C. Wong Postdoctoral Fellowship and a President Scholarship from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is also a co-recipient of Guan Zhao-Zhi Award at The 34th Chinese Control Conference and the Best Theory Paper Award at The 11th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation. He was/is a Fellow of IEEE and an Associate Editor of several journals including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, and IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. Scholarships of $35,000 (AUD) are available for PhD students who achieved H1 /High Distinction in their UG program and/or have completed a Masters by Research.
