Dr Carolyn Mazariego (BHS Hons, MIPH, PhD) is an implementation scientist and health services researcher. She specialises in implementation strategy design, process mapping, co-design/creation, and hybrid trials. Applying the golden thread of implementation frameworks and methodology, her portfolio of work currently includes; implementation design and testing for amendments to the National Newborn Screening program; a population-based implementation scoping project for innovation design to address prostate cancer survivorship and supportive care; Acceptability, feasibility, and sustainability testing of digital innovations; and recent collaborations with UNSW's Digital Grid team to apply implementation and behaviour change theory to understand motivation and attitudes towards adoption of electronic vehicles. Dr Mazariego is passionate about building implementation science capacity in healthcare providers and other researchers. She is a facilitator in the Training Institute for Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health course (TIDIRH Australia) run by the National Centre of Implementation Science. At UNSW, Dr Mazariego is the course convener for PHCM1002 Introduction to Public Health in the Bachelor of International Public Health and lectures in the  Implementation Science Unit (PHCM9791) of the Masters of Health Leadership and Management.
