Biography

I received my Ph.D from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in Dec. 2007. I am currently an associate professor and an ARC Future Fellow in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at University of New South Wales.   • [01/2018] The paper ``G. Li and T.K. Pong, Global Convergence of Splitting Methods for Nonconvex Composite Optimization, SIAM Journal on Optimization 2015, Vol. 25, No. 4, pp. 2434-2460.'' published in SIAM Journal on Optimization (ERA: A* and Q1), was recognized as a “highly cited article in the Field” by Web of Science: A research article is recognized as a “highly cited paper” if it received enough citations to place it in the top 1% of its academic field based on a highly cited threshold for the field and publication year as of Jan. 2018.

  • [01/2018] The paper ``G. Li, L. Qi and G. Yu, The Z-eigenvalues of a symmetric tensor and its application to spectral hypergraph theory, Numerical Linear Algebra and its Applications, 20 (2013), no. 6, 1001-1029`` was recognized as a  “highly cited article in the field” by Web of Science.
