Biography

Dr Coupland is a Senior Clinical Research Scientist in the Intensive Care Unit at Liverpool Hospital where she is the scientific lead of a research program that focuses on the use of new point-of-care technologies to assess and guide treatment of fibrinolysis resistance in the critically ill. Prof Anders Aneman, Senior Intensivist, is the clinical lead of this program.

Dr Coupland is a Senior Clinical Research Scientist in the Intensive Care Unit at Liverpool Hospital where she is the scientific lead of a research program that focuses on the use of new point-of-care technologies to assess and guide treatment of fibrinolysis resistance in the critically ill. Prof Anders Aneman, Senior Intensivist, is the clinical lead of this program.

Lucy has a background of 15 years conducting clinical trials in public hospitals and 15 years conducting pre-clinical laboratory-based research with the main focus of her research including platelet biology and pathology, mechanisms of carcinoma and sarcoma metastasis, novel uses of viscoelastic testing, and the development of novel histone inhibitors and homeostatic agents.
