My Research Activities
I am currently working on an collaborative project with colleagues at the University of Central Asia to document and record residents' experience of everyday aesthetics in the village of Dobolu, Kyrgyzstan.

I have supervised both theory-based and studio-based PhD theses in art, design, and media. I'm interested in the experience and design of restorative environments, landscape aesthetics, the role of play for adults in museums and galleries, and a visual aesthetics, with particular reference to visual behaviours recorded with mobile eye tracking devices;
My Engagement
I am an organiser of the annual Nomad Arts Festival in Naryn Kyrgyzstan and run regular Playful Eye sessions through the Playful Eye Projec.
