Biography

Sam is a Visiting Fellow with the Department of Developmental Disability Neuropsychiatry (3DN), University of New South Wales and lecturer with Western Sydney University. Sam is a Visiting Fellow with the Department of Developmental Disability Neuropsychiatry (3DN), University of New South Wales and lecturer with Western Sydney University. He was recently focused on the Australian Longitudinal Study of Autism in Adulthood (ALSAA), and is now leading a study developing the construct of contribution for application to outcome measurement, funded by the Endeavour Foundation Disability Research Fund 2021 Research Award.

Sam is a registered psychologist with a background in supporting adults with disability in community settings. He formerly worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Disability Studies (CDS), University of Sydney and previously provided counselling and clinical services at the NSW Developmental Disability Health Unit (DDHU) and the Northern Sydney Intellectual Disability Health Team (NIDH). He completed his PhD in 2016 on the “Measurement and Conceptualisation of Support Needs”.
