Researcher

Emeritus Professor John Whitelock

My Expertise

Glycomics, Mass Spectrometry, Proteoglycans, Tissue Regeneration, mast cell biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Cell Biology and Gene Regulation, Cardiology and Vascular Disease, Proteomics

Fields of Research (FoR)

Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Biomedical Engineering

Biography

Research Interests:
Tissue repair and regeneration involves interactions between the extracellular environment that binds growth signals and guides cell and tissue behavior. The activity of these signals is controlled by glycosylated molecules known as proteoglycans and this is my central area of research interest.

Broad Research Areas:
Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Cell Biology and Gene Regulation, Cardiology and Vascular Disease,...view more
