Dr. Jing Hu is a lecturer (equivalent to the rank of assistant professor in North America) at the School of Management and Governance in UNSW Business School, University of New South Wales. Dr. Jing Hu is a lecturer (equivalent to the rank of assistant professor in North America) at the School of Management and Governance in UNSW Business School, University of New South Wales. She received her PhD in Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and her MA in School of Psychology, Beijing Normal University.
She has taught courses on topics including organizational behaviour, managing people in organizations, leadership, and teams at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA level. Jing’s research focuses on the topics of work meaningfulness, employees’ decision making, and employees’ well-being. Using a variety of research methods, in cross-cultural contexts, she explores (1) different levels of antecedents and consequences of work meaningfulness; (2) determinants of employees’ decision making at work; and (3) factors that impact employees’ well-being. Her works have appeared in the Journal of Experimental Psychology, the Frontiers in Psychology, Applied Psychology: An International Review, Chinese Sociological Review, and the Academy of Management Proceedings. Her research also has appeared in several media outlets including Inc. ThriveGlobal, EurekAlert, Forbes, and the Academic Minute.
