Bronwen Williams is an education focussed associate lecturer at UNSW, Sydney in the School of Art & Design.

She holds an MFA (Research) and BFA (First Class Honours) from UNSW and a Diploma Building Design from TAFE NSW.

Bronwen’s practice engages an experimental approach to making that requires agility and the ability to traverse a range of disciplines and skills, including new technologies. Her work spans the fields of installation art, sculpture, interactive media, experience design, and object design. She has fabrication skills across wood, metal, jewellery, ceramics, model-making, 3D modelling, creative coding, digital fabrication, audio, and video capture and editing and architectural drafting and more. Bronwen’s work draws on the nuances of her experiences of being Chinese-Australian as influence in the creation of works that examine contemporary cross-cultural identity.

As an educator, Bronwen is passionate about promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in tertiary institutions, and building learning communities. She integrates her range of skills into a contemporary teaching practice that supports students to develop as professional practitioners. Bronwen’s teaching philosophy advocates for curiosity, connection, and collaboration as cornerstones of life-long learning.
