Areas of supervision

I am available to supervise ILP and Honours projects in the field of paediatric pain and paediatric palliative care.

Within the context of paediatric palliative care my current research interests relate to the psychosocial functioning of well-siblings, and parent-sibling communication.

Within the area of paediatric pain I have a range of research interests, including the multi-dimensional assessment of children's acute pain; parental factors and children's chronic pain; attention; information provision.

Currently supervising

In 2019 I am supervising an ILP student who is working on a large project evaluating the psychosocial functioning of well-siblings, and considering the role of parent-sibling communication and sibling resilience. Longitudinal aspects of this study are expected to continue beyond 2019 and may be available for future ILP or Honours project.

In 2018 and 2019 I have supervised ILP students trialling a multidimensional assessment protocol for children's acute pain assessment. Acute pain assessment is more than just a measure of pain intensity.
