I obtained my PhD degree at Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic), Faculty of Mathematics and Physics in the field of Physics of Condensed Matter and Material Research. I work at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) as a senior researcher and a numerical analyst, where I lead a research group focused on the High-Temperature and Molten-Salt Corrosion Performance of Advanced Materials for applications in the future low-emission energy-generation and energy-storage systems. In my work I use experimental and numerical techniques to obtain experimental (neutron, synchrotron) and numerical (finite element, crystal plasticity) data to understand in-service performance of materials. I have over ten years of post-PhD experience working on multi-disciplinary international research, industrial and defence related projects requiring experimental as well as numerical modelling expertise in the field of material research & engineering, manufacturing, solid mechanics, and advanced data analysis. I also hold an Adjunct Associate Professor position at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) where I supervise and train undergraduate and post-graduate students.
