The central aim of this project is to improve understanding of how our society can financially support, care for and reproduce itself without creating or worsening social disadvantage. Using time-diary data, the project will examine the market and non-market production of men and women, rich and poor, and young and old, and the complex compounding interconnections between them. It will discover how they have been affected by demographic and policy change and the economic boom of the last fifteen years.
