Research Interests:
As an Emergency Physician my research interests cover the spectrum of medicine and surgery, with an emphasis on trauma. I have a particular interest in diagnostic accuracy studies. Past and current research areas have included radiation exposure of trauma patients from CT scans, evaluation of strategies to improve Emergency Department patient flow, blunt thoracic trauma management, cervical spine evaluation in trauma, Emergency Department evaluation of suspected drug mules, primary spontaneous pneumothorax management, and diagnostic utility of d-dimer for aortic dissection, amongst other topics
