Biography

Member of the Geospatial, Research, Innovation and Development (GRID) lab of UNSW, I am leading the Digital Twins R&D with a focus on 3D indoor modelling and navigation, and BIM/GIS integration. With an MSc in Computer Sciences obtained in 2012 from the University of Burgundy (France), I completed my PhD in computational geometry in 2015 at the LIRIS lab (University of Lyon 1, France). Then I joined the 3D Geoinformation of  Delft University of Technology (2015-2018), where I worked on the SIMs3D project to provide emergency responders with smart indoor navigation systems, and the GeoBIM project, looking at defining best practices for integrating BIM and GIS models to support powerful spatial analysis. As an active member of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), I am co-leading the development of the IndoorGML standard.

My Research Activities

My research interest covers: Digital Twins, 3D modelling and reconstruction (of buildings and architectural elements), 3D indoor navigation, Geospatial analysis, BIM/GIS integration and computational geometry.
