Professor Deborah JE Marriott graduated from UNSW in 1978 with a B.Sc (Med) (Hons class 1) and MB BS (Hons Class 1). She subsequently obtained an FRACP in 1985 and FRCPA in 1986, specialising in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, and is an adjunct professor at UTS Sydney, and a Conjoint Professor at UNSW St Vincent's Clinical School. Professor Deborah JE Marriott graduated from UNSW in 1978 with a B.Sc (Med) (Hons class 1) and MB BS (Hons Class 1). She subsequently obtained an FRACP in 1985 and FRCPA in 1986, specialising in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, and is an adjunct professor at UTS Sydney, and a Conjoint Professor at UNSW St Vincent's Clinical School. Most of her professional life has been spent at St. Vincent’s Hospital where she has developed an interest and expertise in infections in immuno-compromised hosts and therapeutic drug monitoring of antimicrobial agents. Deborah is involved in undergraduate and post- graduate training, in particular in the Rural Clinical Schools. Deborah is a foundation member and past president of the Australasian Society for HIV medicine, a member of the NSW state tuberculosis advisory committee, the current chairperson of the Australian and New Zealand Mycoses Interest Group, a committee member for the International Society for Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Toxicology and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation and the International Visiting Professor elect for the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.
