My Expertise

My research focuses on microstructure evolution and developing processing-structure-property relationships for advanced structural materials. I use fundamental microstructure physics and state-of-the-art characterization techniques (i.e., SEM, EBSD, APT and TEM) to understand and predict material behavior, phase transformations, and microstructure evolution during advanced material processing routes and engineer microstructures with enhanced property profiles. Research interests include alloy design, phase transformation, microstructure, texture, recrystallization, grain boundaries and stereology. My current research, aims to design next generation aerospace materials through developing smart thermo-mechanical routes.

Biography

I received my PhD in 2020 from Deakin University, studying phase transformation and interface characteristics in titanium alloys. I continued my research on designing novel biomedical and biodegradable zinc alloys and fundamentals of microstructure evolution during solid state additive manufacturing of steels, titanium and aluminum alloys as a postdoctoral researcher at Deakin University. I have expertise in the analysis of complex...view more
