Dr Eindra Aung is a Principal Hospital Scientist (Clinical Research) at the Pain Management Research Institute/ Kolling Institute, Northern Sydney Local Health District, and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, School of Clinical Medicine, UNSW. She has 20 years of international and Australian experience in health services research and health promotion in chronic and lifelong conditions in both academic and non-academic settings. Her experience spans from implementing and evaluating a multi-site, multi-donor behaviour change communication program for HIV prevention and care in the real-world setting in Thailand to examining the role of self-management ability and self-management support in improving clinical outcomes and quality of life in people with type 2 diabetes using data from a large prospective cohort study in Queensland. She is currently evaluating the implementation of a care coordination pathway for people with chronic pain and the effectiveness of a mobile health intervention for people with gout.
