My Expertise

My main research field is modernist literature, with particular focuses on modernist conceptions of authorship, the relationship between literature and specialization, modernist responses to new media, and the cultural history of trust. I am co-editor of a collection entitled Modernist Work: Labor, Aesthetics, and the Work of Art (2019) and my essays have appeared or are forthcoming in journals such ELH, Modernism/modernity, Modern Fiction Studies and NOVEL: A Forum on Fiction.

I am a Senior Lecturer in English in the School of the Arts and Media.
