Biography

 I am the author of A Wife's Heart (2017), an auto / biography of Henry Lawson's wife, Bertha Lawson and single parenting. My areas of research are life writing; literary journalism / creative non-fiction and I teach new media such as Virtual Reality Documentaries.  I am the author of A Wife's Heart (2017), an auto / biography of Henry Lawson's wife, Bertha Lawson and single parenting. My areas of research are life writing; literary journalism / creative non-fiction and I teach new media such as Virtual Reality Documentaries. My research has been published in Literary Journalism Studies, the Australian Journalism Review,  Meanjin, the Conversation, as well as forthcoming articles and chapters in international publications.
My research has attracted national media impact, and I have appeared at the Sydney Writers' Festival; the Brisbane Writers Festival and the National Folk Festival. In 2021, I interviewed author Kate Grenville for SWF. 
I currently supervise thesis projects in literary journalism and life writing.
My teaching and research is underpinned by a decade's professional practice in national media publications including the Weekend Australian and Vogue Australia.
