My Expertise

I have extensive leadership experience in curriculum design, development and implementation of health professional programs as well as significant experience physiotherapy program accreditation. I have successfully established three new physiotherapy programs in Australia - The Bachelor of Exercise Science / Master of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology at UNSW (2022), the Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Federation University (2020) and the Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2016.

I am registered Physiotherapist and Chiropractor in Australia with over 20 years of clinical experience. As a neuroscientist, I am fascinated by the human brain. I have developed research expertise in several novel and sophisticated neurophysiological techniques, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), electromyography (EMG), nerve excitability techniques, electroencephalography (EEG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG). These techniques allows me to interrogate pathophysiological mechanisms underlying various neurological disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. My current research focusses on the use of technology (e.g, robotics, brain stimulation and artificial intelligence) to improve outcome of neurorehabilitation.
