I am a visiting Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Psychology at UNSW Sydney. My current research interests include the state of powerlessness, threat defenses, and the affective aspects of cognitive dissonance theory. With my research, I attempt to implement motivational and affective considerations into social psychological research topics. Prior, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the OB lab at the MTEC Department of ETH Zurich. I received my doctoral degree from ETH Zurich in 2022, advised by Professor Petra Schmid. During the PhD, I completed a research stay at the Division of Social Psychology at the Paris-Lodron-Universität Salzburg and received the Lim Kim San Fellowship for PhD students by the Singapore Management University.
